Prudent asset management for the long haul

Strategic and tactical allocation, individual securities, ongoing monitoring, and benchmark-aware reporting — all tied to your written financial plan.

How We Manage

SAAP & TAAP, strategy first, then tactics

Strategic Asset Allocation Plan (SAAP) sets the long-horizon mix that matches your written financial plan. Tactical Asset Allocation Plan (TAAP) lets us tilt deliberately around it when the evidence calls for it. Both are documented; both are reviewed.

Strategy Then Tactics

SAAP + TAAP, explained

Your Strategic Asset Allocation Plan is the long-horizon mix that matches your written financial plan — what we expect to hold across market cycles. It is reviewed annually and changes when your life changes.

Your Tactical Asset Allocation Plan is the disciplined room we allow ourselves to tilt around that strategy when valuations, interest rates, or risk signals justify it. Every tilt is documented; every tilt has a thesis.

  • Documented strategic allocation, reviewed annually
  • Tactical tilts with written rationale — no hunches
  • Performance measured against the right benchmarks, not the loudest ones

Frequently asked questions

Good to Know
SAAP (Strategic Asset Allocation Plan) is the long-horizon target mix aligned to your written financial plan — the allocation we expect to hold across market cycles. TAAP (Tactical Asset Allocation Plan) is the disciplined room we allow ourselves to tilt around that strategy when valuations, interest rates, or risk signals justify a deliberate change. Both are documented; both are reviewed; neither is a hunch.
We use individual equities, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, and select alternatives — chosen for fit with your plan, not to meet a model or earn a commission. We build to your objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon, and we benchmark against relevant indices so performance is measured honestly.
At minimum, annually — typically more frequently. We monitor positions continuously and conduct a formal review at least once a year against your written plan. Any meaningful change to your life, tax situation, or the macro environment can trigger an interim review. You will always hear from us before a material change is made to your allocation.
We can manage assets as a standalone engagement, but we believe it works best inside a financial plan. Without a plan, there's no clear objective to measure allocation against — "grow" is not a strategy. If you come to us for asset management alone, we'll recommend at least a foundational planning conversation so we know what we're managing toward.
